Released in December 1979, London Calling was the record which produced the US breakthrough and earned The Clash huge popularity in the United States.

By spring 1980 The Clash were back in the US performing a string of concert dates. This was the second major US tour by the classic line-up of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Joe Strummer, lead guitarist and vocalist Mick Jones, bassist Paul Simonon and drummer Nicky “Topper” Headon.

London Calling The Big Apple is the powerful record of that amazing tour. This cable broadcast took place at the Capitol Theatre, Passaic NJ on 8th March 1980 and features The Clash hard at work promoting London Calling.

Hand-pressed on 2 x 10″ clear & green vinyl, beautifully presented in a double gatefold sleeve, this collector’s edition includes:

  • Full-length Ray Lowry E-Book: Clash – The Only Band That Matters
  • Documentary Film Download
