Although released in May 2022, Métis singer-songwriter Ella Coyes’ (aka Sister Ray) debut album ‘Communion’ is our Record of the Month for October.

‘Communion’ is an emotionally charged indie-folk record, which hears Coyes navigate through several complex themes such as heartache, self-identity and accountability.

Through their multi-faceted lyricism and angsty melodies, ‘Communion’ is the perfect balance of dark and light, making it our go-to album as the nights start to draw in and we transition into autumn.
